Impulse is a dress I designed for the UC Davis Red Dress Collection, which is featured every February at the UC Davis Women’s Heart Care Education and Awareness Forum. This dress utilizes textured, crinkled organza to represent the veins and arteries and frills to emphasize the heart shaped bodice. The pleats show the paths of blood flow, with the capelet providing extra movement to the whole garmet. Life should flow like the blood in your body, with what’s in your heart as a natural guide.
